Why "None Of The Above" Is Vital For Democracy

From speaking to other regular Canadians and then speaking to Politicians I have found a huge difference between what "We The People" think and what the Politicians tell me we think.

When you consider the fact that they constantly lament the lack of voter participation in election you would think they would encourage the option. You would be wrong. I was.

I've been told it's anti-democracy as we have been given the acceptable choices. Are we children? Do we need "Power Seekers" of all Political stripes dictating the choices we have?

They had elections in Communist countries however all the candidates were communist. Is that democracy? I say not even close.

They actually have think tanks trying to figure out the best way to get people engaged in the process. Everything from Citizen Commitees to making a law forcing people to vote!!!

This endless "Pendelum of Stupidity" of voting Liberal and then Conservative is destroying this country. There can be no fundamental change in this country as long as we play by their rules. Politicians LIE they call it "Plausible Deniability" but to you and I it's a lie. They not only want to decide what we talk about, they want to decide the definitions of the words.

If "None Of Above" was on the ballot and published along with all other results it wouldn't change the outcome of an election. It would however show the true will of the Canadian people.
It would be hard for any Political party to wrap themselves in the flag and say they have a mandate from the Canadian people when "None Of The Above " got more votes. Sure they would lose status on the world stage as their policies would be suspect when not even their own citizens trusted them. On the upside dictatorships would love them.

Simply put this country would again reflect what it's citizens want. There would be no need to interpret what Canadians want. It would say clearly that there's room for change. All political parties would REALLY know what the Majority want. NOT THEM and their Policies would start to reflect this. Aren't you tired of Politicians deciding what you want. I Know I am.

In closing I firmly believe that the Power Seekers only want the appearance of Democracy.
